Seatel is the leading manufacturer of VSAT and TV antennas on yachts and ships, with the 1 meter (40")  Ku-Band antennas being the most popular.

Most current SeaTel antennas use the MXP for VSAT or  LMXP for TV.


Older antennas use the DAC 2200 or DAC2202

The older 4003  and 9797 systems use the DAC03 or DAC97
Due to popular demand for the older DAC03 operation, the DAC 2302 uses the same chassis and control panel as the DAC03, but with newer DAC 2202 hardware and functionality.

The first two digits of the SeaTel model number indicates the approximate size of the refecftor in inches, and the last two digits indicate the year that model was first released. A 4009 antenna is a 40" (1m) antenna that was first released in 2009. Likewise, the 9797 antenna is a 2.4m (97") antenna released in 1997.

The Dash-Numbers behind the model number refer mostly to the BUC and LNB configuration.

These are entry level, 2 axis Ku band antennas,

It might be difficult to find coverage in all areas for these antennas due the small size and transmit limitations.

This is a full fledged, 3 axis antenna with a 60cm dish.

The small refelector  and wide beam width limits the amount of energy that can be radiated without interferring with adjacent satellites, but with spread spectrum or BPSK modulation they can acomplish amazingly good results.

The -7 comes with an 8 watt NJR BUC.

The SeaTel 4003 is a 1 meter VSAT antenna has been is service for the last 10 years. There is also a 1.5m 6003. The antenna uses a DAC03 controller.

The antenna has a coax feed between BUC and the waveguide.

The 4003A had a revised azimuth motor and an improved polang motor arrangement.

The 4003 is no longer available or supported, although some parts are still available.

The XX10 series antenna use the same electronics as the 4009, but without all the elaborate vibration and shock resistant features it has simpler mechanics similar to the proven 4006 and 4003. The 4010W models come with waveguide and a waveguide rotary joint between the BUC and the feed. The 4010C has a coax link from the BUC to the rotary joint on the feed.
