ION - International Ocean Networks Limited-  provides extemely flexible, regional, marine, Ku-Band VSAT coverage to the most frequented regions in Europe, the Americas and Transatlantic to terminals ranging from 60cm like the SeaTel USAT24, and 2406 through the USAT30 or 3011 to full size 1 meter, and larger antennas.

The pricing is very reasonable and flexible with the option of month-to-month service.

This smaller antenna requirement opens up possibilities for smaller vessels in the 50-100ft range, that may not be able to support a full size, 1 meter VSAT antenna.

The pricing structure is also ideal for  vessels that operate on a seasonal or sporadic basis.  There is no binding contract, so you can turn the service on and off , month-by-month, and even day-by-day.

As one would expect, there are significant cost savings when making a full, 1 year committment.

You would only need dedicated bandwidth if you had large files that, regularly, need to be transfered with mission critical urgency, or if you had a very large budget.

As a small company, ION is nimble enough to provide day-by-day service, available prepaid, in blocks of seven individual days. The seven days can be used, one a day at a time, in 24 hour increments. The day-by-day service is provided as an 8:1 contented, shared service at 1024 kbps down and 256 kbps up. 

This could be ideal for vessels that have a VSAT and modem onboard, and only need service during charter, during passage, or while the owner is onboard. There is no need to pay for satellite bandwidth while the yacht sits in the marina, well within wifi or 3G/4G range.

Pricing for the daily service is $1995.00 for a seven day block which is very reasonable at only $285 per day, and only when you really need it.

Vessels going on longer voyages would benefit by the month-by-month or annual contracts.
