Dish Network US
Dish Network. | Dish Network on 110W | Polish TV on 118.7W |
Dish network is made up of several satellites, including 119W, 129W, 110W and 61.5W all covering the continental US.
One advantage of Dish Network is that, unlike DirecTV US, they have several HD channels in Ku Band that can be received on a regular SeaTel 4004 without the need for a fancy Ka-Ku-Ka triode feed on the antenna.

The footprint of 110W extends well into the Caribbean about as far as St Maarten, but you would most likely need a 1.5m antenna to reach Antigua and beyond.
If one does not plan to go too far south in the Windward islands, it could be possible to stay on one satellite in continental US and out into the Caribbean, without switching LNBs or receivers.
I would appreciate any real world input from yachts using Dish network in the eastern Caribbean.
On the other end of the spectrum, it looks quite promising for coverage in the Alaska Inside Passage, with a 1.5m antenna.
